I don't know how many rose bushes there are at our new house but there are
lots. Lots that sorely need dead-heading after their late summer flush.

There are white roses and yellow roses, pink roses and peach roses. There are standards and climbers and bush roses. And I plan to befriend every single one.

Fabulous climate for roses - Adelaide is the rose capital of Australia - enjoy it (and them)
Are they scented roses? We moved into this house nearly 5 years ago and the roses are heavenly.
That's an added bonus - already established roses. After getting them pruned back for winter, it will be exciting to see them burst into fresh blooms in the coming spring.
I've got a lot of dead-heading to do too!

Fantastic, all those roses!
The roses are beautiful - and the inside shots in earlier posts were gorgeous too. I hope you're happy there, and I don't think that the house is the least bit cursed.
Maybe it just had someone who loved it so much a long time ago and is having a hard time leaving - people do leave vines, memories and ghosts behind sometimes.
Just make it perfectly clear to the house that you are friendly, and will make things even happier than before. That you come to add to memories, and never to take them away.
Supersitious? Maybe. But I think sometimes we neglect the past to our detriment.
Be happy there. I know you will be.
Just beautiful! You will love having them all around. It sounds as if you are settling in nicely. Hope all is well.
Oh my goodness. Looks like you're going to be very busy for a little while! I love roses.
