Thirteen year old girls have such a bad reputation for being emotional and rude and spiteful.
Yet I would have to say that my thirteen year old daughter is an absolute delight. She anticipates what needs doing around the house and (almost) always assists willingly. She does her homework without being asked and always works to the best of her ability.
She is as kind as kind can be to her youngest brother, playing with him and reading to him all the time. She is knitting him a scarf in dark red yarn 'just because'.
I am so proud of the young woman that my girl is becoming.

aww that is lovely and just pat yourself on the back whilst you are praising her as she has been guided by you after all, cheers Vickie
Definitely a sweetheart! Nice to see siblings with a good relationship.
I am also very proud of my two girls who have grown into lovely young women. You have obviously laid the foundation well for her. Enjoy.

That's so lovely. I hope my daughter is the same. :-)
Beautiful post Kate, you are truly blessed to have such a sweet young lady, and I have a feeling that you may be a very inspirational mum.
My three girls are all young women now leading their own lives, and I am proud of what they all have achieved and become.

Yeah!! Good to hear good teenager reports, no one ever believes mine. I think teenagers are wonderful.

I love hearing stories like this Kate. And for our teens to hear good things about themselves, instead of all the teen-beating that goes on.
I too, have beautiful teenage and nearly-teenage daughters. We, of course, have our moments but they are amazing.
We've got a delightful one here too who is 12 1/2, although she's only with us part-time and apparantly gives her Mum grief when there. The Chlo we see is a pleasure. Especially playing with the sometimes annoying 4 1/2 year old sister. She is ever patient. Love it.
You are very lucky having such daughter.
