My kitchen window looks out on a paved area to the side of the house and a (hideous) colourbond fence.
To the left I can see an orange tree. To the right is our struggling lemon tree.
In the spring I would like to do something to make the view prettier - some potted flowers perhaps. It would be nice to have something attractive to look at when I am daydreaming out the window with my hands in sudsy water.
What do you see out your kitchen window?

before we bought the house we live in we rented. The rented house was a horrible design and we had to go to the bathroom to look out the back and see what the children were doing in the back yard. I hated not being able to look out the kitchen window and see what was going on.
When we were looking to buy, I wanted a place that could see the backyard from one of the main living areas.
Our kitchen has a big window and I can see pretty much anything that is in the back yard.
I see a big green lawn and back yard full of kids play slides. I should take some pictures and post. This is a great idea. Thanks. I love your orange and lemon tree.
HEH, HEH< HEH, Kate... sorry I put the colourbond idea in your head! See you soon, Lisa
Into my back yard with nothing much to look at but also straight across the fence and into the neighbours back yard
I don't look out the kitchen window much as DH does the washing up! But a few things occur to me as I look out yours. Firstly, your lemon tree might not be getting enough water and nutrients; the paved area needs to be uncovered a bit more. Secondly, a gigantic tub of bushier herbs, or with a trellis, will hide that fence if the area is as sunny as it looks.
