For the month of February, instead of working four days a week from 9 until 3, I'm working five days a week. Another staff member has gone back to China for the Chinese New Year and I have taken on an extra day's work to help cover for her.
One extra day a week doesn't sound like much, but it is making a difference to me. I don't have as much time to organise my household. Overall I feel more tired. I feel I have to be more organised every day because I don't have Fridays to catch up on any messes.
This is a roundabout was of explaining why I am not blogging much at present. However, I am looking forward to March, when I should be able to write more frequently again.
Thank you for your patience!

I know where you are coming from. I work 10-4 5 days a week in our business. It leaves little time for anything other than tidying, laundry and dinner preparation. No wonder I am not a crafter as such. I am too pooped to cross stitch in the evenings so it gets left to the weekends. I do find I am more organised with the more hours I work but only in short bursts.

I hear ya, Kate. I've gone from two days a week to four days again this year. Four full-on days with no time release (like teachers get) is really tiring.
I'm having Thursday's off this year and I think it will be good for me. Despite the fact that a 3 day weekend has always been my preference.
I am an advocate for the 3-day weekend: 4 days work, 3 days rest. I find 5 days of work immensely time-consuming, and 2 days each weekend is simply not enough to do all the chores *and* relax. Quite often I am forced to choose one or the other! It's tiring!
I hope you're usual routine is returned soon, without it having suffered too much damage... :)

I agree. 3 day weekend, bring it on. I'm not currently working, but so remember when I was given extra and the difference it made when things went back to normal. I don't take my opportunity to not work for granted. That can change anytime.
Cheers,

Your garden is looking good though! The extra bit of money will be good, maybe you can spend it in March... treat yourself!
