Not knowing that I have chickens of my own, a new friend came bearing a gift of her hens' eggs.
My friend has five hens and three people in her family, so has many eggs to spare. I have two hens and six family members, so ration my eggs more carefully
It is wonderful to share such abundance.

You are so lucky to have fresh eggs. I'm hoping someday we will be able to have some chickens of our own :0)
My young girls are laying well now...I am getting between 3 and 5 each day from five hens. Itmeans lots of lovely precious eggs...nothing better.

I am so looking forward to my chickens first eggs...they should start laying in August...I have been collecting all sorts of egg recipes in preparation! Enjoy your fresh eggs!
