Cheerful Fruit

Despite grey skies, winter in Adelaide produces the most cheerful, golden and orange fruit.

The persimmons, oranges, mandarins, lemons and grapefruit shown here were all picked in my neighbourhood.

The perfect antidote for winter ills.

I love persimmons! I think this is winter's way of getting us to eat fruit when we'd rather be eating steaming hot puddings and pies!

We looked out the back at our lemon tree....through wind and rain....and discovered a huge amount of bright yellow orbs waiting for us to pick. Oooohhhh what can I make LOL!
